The zoo was established back in 1921 but underwent a load of construction and the zoo officially opened on July 1, 1934. The zoo have around 216 acres for you to roam across observing a variety of different species in their natural habitats. Listen to the roars of the tigers, observe the polar bears swimming, dolphins performing behaviors, and giraffes roaming around their spacious exhibit munching on leaves throughout the day.
You are able to meet Animal Ambassadors, check out the Center for the Science of Animal Welfare, learn about the Center for Conservation Leadership program, and the zoo even has a blog. The blog is a great tool you are able to use once you have left the zoo but want to continue keeping up with the latest changes and educational tools they are always releasing.
